You are very generous: our 2012 Red Kettle record!
Salvation Army colleagues from every zip code in the United States would probably say that the line of people needing assistance is longer than it has ever been in recent memory.
Because I’m human, I wonder (and worry a little) if our strong kettle numbers will last. Will we bring in as much this year as we did in 2011? Will folks who are also working two jobs know that even the little bit they can give means hope and life to someone else?
In early to mid February we got the final report on our Red Kettle Campaign and this year we learned that – like always – you are generous beyond expectation.
Our 2012 Red Kettle Campaign total set a new record of $148.7 million!
Thank you for giving when it’s hard. Thank you for supporting your neighbors who are desperately trying to make ends meet. Thank you for caring about people God loves very much.
