Real Estate professionals support their neighbors at the Red Kettle
That’s why we’re thrilled that a few thousand of them will volunteer to pick up the bell and ring beside our kettles this Christmas!
REALTOR® Ring Day is a one-day event when real estate professionals across the country unite to staff as many Salvation Army kettles as possible in their local communities.
The event started in 2010 with a few hundred real estate professionals bell ringing on a single day in Minnesota and North Dakota. Since then, the event has grown each year with real estate professionals from 21 states participating in 2012.
This year, thousands of realtors will all be ringing today, Dec. 6 all across the US and in several Western states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.

Real estate professionals are volunteering to work at 150 of our kettles in the surrounding area! They’ll also be out on December 11th and 18th.
The first day’s tally from Real Estate Wednesday was the largest red kettle amount ever raised in the Phoenix area in a single day! And, with two more Wednesdays to go, kettle season is looking good in Phoenix.
As with all kettle donations, dollars raised at each kettle staffed by a real estate professional stay in the local community where the money was donated.
To raise awareness they build Christmas CanTrees made out of canned goods in local malls like the one pictured here.
Since 1983, the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® has raised over $2 million to help feed Sacramento’s hungry citizens through The Salvation Army.
Thank you to all the realtors who care about their communities through The Salvation Army!
