Thank you for a strong 2013 Red Kettle Campaign!
Every year about this time, all the number crunching has been completed and we’re able to share the results of our recent Red Kettle Campaign.
With five fewer bell ringing days between Thanksgiving and Christmas – when compared to last year – we were prepared for grim news. Thankfully, your generosity saved the day and our 123rd Red Kettle campaign.
Even though the season was shorter and shopper traffic was down by 19.1% over last year, our kettles raised $135.9 million across the United States from November 29 through December 24!
With fewer days to get the job done and fewer people in the malls and stores to visit our kettles, there was only a small decrease from 2012.
And for that we say THANK YOU!Here in the Western US, we compared data for the dates November 29 to December 24 from both years and found that we’re up almost 2% over 2012. If we’d had the additional five bell ringing days in 2013 that we had in 2012, that number would be even higher!
That’s a very strong sign too and we know we have you to thank!
