PaperAngelsThis Sunday November 16, Uplifting Television Entertainment (also called UPTV) will broadcast an original movie called “Paper Angels” which stars Matthew Settle from TV’s “Gossip Girl” and Josie Bissett, star of “Melrose Place”.

The story is inspired by country artist Jimmy Wayne’s Christmas song and book “Paper Angels.” To learn more about Jimmy’s story of being helped by The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, click here.

Check your local listings for UPTV: Paper Angels will broadcast nationwide at 4:00 PM Pacific Time. Additional broadcast dates are scheduled for November 21 and 22, December 8, 14, 20.23, 15 and 26.

Here’s a synopsis of the movie:
Abused wife Lynn leaves her alcoholic husband Darryl with her two kids Thomas and Sara and moves to another town where she works as a waitress to make ends meet. In that same town, we meet Kevin whose marketing and design company is on the brink of shutting down due to the economy. Plus, Kevin’s wife Jenny is in a difficult pregnancy with twins.

Thomas starts a new school and becomes the target of a bully who is threatened by how well Thomas plays basketball. Unable to join the high school team, Thomas goes to the community center where he meets Kevin and the two of them become unlikely friends through pickup basketball games.

Little do they know the tremendous impact they will have on each other’s families this Christmas through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program.

>>>>> <<<<< We want to thank Jimmy Wayne for being such a wonderful storyteller! This project will help get the word out about our Angel Tree program to thousands of people who will choose to help a kid just like Jimmy. What a wonderful thing!
